Nokia N8 vs Samsung Omnia HD – Máximo de memória RAM livre

Que a mais ou menos 1 ano atrás o Samsung Omnia HD deu uma surra, literalmente dizendo, no Nokia N97 não há duvidas, especialmente se falarmos da quantidade de memória RAM livre que os dois aparelhos tinham após reinicia-los. Mas será que o Nokia N8, novo lançamento da finlandesa, consegue derrubar um produto mais antigo?

Vejam o vídeo abaixo que mostra um comparativo entre o Nokia N8 e o Samsung Omnia HD:

Como é visto no vídeo, a quantidade de memória RAM é muito próxima entre os aparelhos.

Meio decepcionante o desempenho inicial do Nokia N8, ainda mas comparado com um modelo que, pelo tempo de seu lançamento, já deveria ser ultrapassado. Ainda penso que a Samsung perdeu ( e perde) um bom tempo e dinheiro não lançando o Omnia HD aqui. Garanto que seria um sucesso de vendas.

Vamos esperar pelo lançamento do N8 e observar maiores comparações entre os modelos a fim de saber se é mesmo um bom investimento comprar o Nokia hoje ou se é melhor gastar um pouco menos(esqueceram que o Omnia HD está caindo de preço?) e ter um aparelho que, por enquanto, não anda perdendo (muito) para o N8.

Ah, outra coisa. Com esse vídeo inicial, deixo uma pergunta: Será que o Nokia N8 derrubará o reinado do Samsung Omnia HD (como melhor aparelho com Symbian OS lançado)?

[Symbian] Custom Firmware para Samsung Omnia HD i8910?

Já digo que não estou fazendo apologia nenhuma ao software ilegal ou de origem duvidosa mas a questão é que mesmo sendo um excelente aparelho, o Samsung Omnia HD não tem muitas coisas no seu acervo. As vezes os usuários desse aparelho se depara com limitações que não ocorrem com os aparelhos fabricados pela Nokia e isso causa uma frustração terrível.

Bem, uma equipe de desenvolvedores do site Hyperx, desenvolveu uma ROM, ou firmware, que deixa seu aparelho muito melhor. Por exemplo, na ultima firmware o aparelho tem disponível em C: 18mb livres e nessa, se consegue ter 80mb.

Abaixo vocês podem ver um changelog detalhado da versão:

  • slightly modded precision Theme (this theme really seems the fastest !)
  • GTE-Trust certification fixed (skyfire working, gravity working.. maybe some other apps too)
  • PC-studio doesn´t work after fresh – flash ! – FIXED
  • Rompatcher doesn´t recognize somtimes patches that are placed on e:\ FIXED
  • Changed-modded Vodafone Homescreen
  • Maybe +3-ICONS on homescreen…. Finger use seems massed up, but working on solution.
  • Pre-autofocus on Video
  • Changed Audio codec without noise-supression (if the recording is to LOAD do the fallowing: Go to keypad, and type in the number *#0002*28346# then go to RECORD …… THEN CamcordARM_AMR THEN TX MicAmp and type in a lower number so the microphone will be not so sensible,….. if you want to save (even after reboot or flash) go back on beginning-screen and click on Back-up)
  • Videos/Photos that are taken are named as DAY/MONTH/YEAR (Can be changed in clock settings to YEAR/MONTH/DAY)
  • changed Audio-synch values for new audio-encoder
  • Jpeg-codec from SE-VIVAZ
  • FIXED 24 FPS solution ….. People have voted for VIVAZ-codec
  • Wlan-wizard-double-app fixed
  • Startupsounds now on E:\\mods\\power_on.mp3  and E:\\mods\\power_off.mp3
  • Startup/shutdown animation can be placed as an *.gif file on E:\\mods\\startup.gif  and E:\\mods\\shutdown.gif
  • Changed Kinetic-scroll values

Older tweaks are still integrated: (HX2.11)

  • blue busy app cycle added
  • Fastest modded precision theme added (like in speed-release)
  • New Music-player skin (precision skin)
  • fixed blue-scrollbar in musicplayer !

    • Camera compression improvements (set all resolutions to 100 % for best quality)
    • FULL Multilanguage-5 support (EN_DE_IT_SP_FR)

    • International Keyboard (all supported languages)

Apesar de estar em beta, o pessoal do All About Symbian teve a coragem e instalou. Os comentários, até o momento, são todos favoráveis a ROM.
